Look of the day – Happy Autumn

*waves frantically* Hey it’s been ages since I had time on SL – RL is all consuming at the moment.
In a good way,  though. I finally got some time and energy to log on and of course did a bit of

My look of the day began with the idea of putting together a new fall outfit. I started off at
ColdLogic where I picked up this “farrell” top in coal. This is a layered shirt and sweater style,
which I love for these cooler fall days. I teamed it with the “giles” skirt in stone and these
great cable knit tights from Jane.

I accessorized with older items from my inventory, my favourite Curvacious boots from Gos,
a bag from The Secret Store, jewellery from Maxi Gossamer, and sunglasses from Mon Tissu.
The phone pose prop set is from my store Estetica.

We’ve had  a lot of grey days here lately, but today is sunny and clear. Happy autumn, everyone!

Look of the day – beachy and breezy

Today’s look is inspired by my new land! I have a home again at last, on protected mainland water. So I was feeling fresh and beachy and I put together this look starting with the Breezy mesh shirt from E! Eclectic Apparel and Accessories. This short-sleeved open cotton shirt is great for layering and can be worn super casual as I have here, or with a nice wide trouser, pencil skirt or dress, for a business casual look.

The Breezy shirt is available at E! Eclectic Apparel & Accessories mainstore or at March Mesh Madness. Try a free demo, all mesh clothing from E! comes in 5 standard sizes.

As obsessed with mesh as I am, it’s great to combine new things with old favourites from your inventory. I chose the cafe shorts from Surf Couture since the colour looked good with the shirt, at least with my lighting. These Tennessee slip-ons from Reek are great colour-change flat espadrilles, ideal for a day at the shore. I’ve had these Gos sunglasses for 2 years but I wear them again and again. Love the colour / texture changing options that Gos products provide.

New Reek Cardis and Gos Desert Boots!

Riq Graves of Reek and Gospel Voom of Gos Custom Design are two of my favourite male designers.  They both excel at sculpting and texturing, producing consistently high quality, stylish and fun products.  Today I am featuring a new release from each of these talented guys.  From Gos Custom Footwear, the brand new Desert Boots, and from Reek, the Papercut Cardigans. Since both items can be worn by both men and women, I created a couple of looks for each gender.

The Desert Boots from Gos are as beautifully made and scripted as you would expect from Gos. If you fatpack, which I highly recommend, you can mix and match the soles, laces and boot colours. They come in a variety of colours in leather, suede and 2 tartans.
I think Gos was surprised when I was so keen on these, as he was thinking of them as a men’s shoe. And they are a great casual men’s shoe, that perfect place between sneakers and dress shoes. But if you were around in the 80s, you will remember that women can and did wear these shoes too. I love them with these casual looks. Although they come sized for men, they are resize scripted you can easily size them down to fit a size 0 foot, as I did here.

The Reek Papercut Cardigans are another great casual piece that will soon become a staple in your wardrobe.  With an amazing 17 colours to choose from, these cardigans come with 3 styles of collar (plain, hood down and hood up), two styles of cuff (plain and rolled), and 2 body sizes for women. All the pieces come in men’s and women’s for one price.

Both of these items are going to be solid staples of my fall wardrobe. Honestly I just kept making outfits with them, I probably could have shown you a dozen looks for women.
The men’s not so much, but that’s only because I don’t have that many men’s clothes to make outfits with!

For a limited time, you can scoop up the Gos Desert Boots in Sand for just 195L on the new Marketplace,  all the other colours and the fatpack are there too, great to treat yourself or for gift giving!

Look of the Day: Sunday best

Yesterday Gospel Voom released his new floppy summer hats. These hats are scripted to change shape, as well as the colour / texture of the hat, scarf and scarf ring. They coordinate perfectly with the Gos Espadrilles, and the Gos Cateye glasses. Now we  just need a Gos tote bag… (hint hint) As with all Gos products, they are perfectly sculpted and the scripts are comprehensive and easy to use.

Because no matter how gorgeous the shoes and hat are, you still need to wear clothes, I chose to wear them with these lovely Sn@tch “Out with the old” retro sundresses. I talked about these the other day. I had to go get them, look how cute and summery they are. In 5 colour combinations per pack, and mod / trans so you can share. Or you can keep them all yourself and wear a different colour combination every day.

I loved this summer look so much I just had to go skipping through a meadow. Background picture taken at Ode. Hope you enjoy your Sunday and Happy Shopping!

New espadrilles from Gos = love

Really, what else is there to say? I love espadrilles, and these are amazing, perfectly sculpted, easy to fit. Scripted to change the toe, bow, ankle ribbon, and seam colours. You can fatpack (as I did) and have all the options, or buy one pair and add “updaters”. For 100L each updater adds a colour to your base pair. If you act quickly, Gos has put the fuchsia floral ones up on xstreet for just 100L! This means you can buy a couple of updaters and have 3 colours for the regular price of one! Offer ends today though so act fast!

At the store you can try out a free demo and buy the single colours, fatpack of 12 colour/texture combinations or the updaters.  They also include the invisible tatoo layer for 2.0 / Emerald Beta users, with an option to turn off the invisiprim. All the options and easy to use menu you expect from creator Gospel Voom and his exceptional scripter.

Ok, I am off to make another outfit with my new espadrilles. They haven’t left my feet since I got them!

Spending Spree!

So last week I kind of went on a bit of a spending spree! I started with the Gos Docs which I have had my eye on for a while. I couldn’t decide which colour, and in the end the deal for the fatpack was just too good to resist. 9 colours! I also picked up a couple of the lovely new spring  floral polishes which I will show after the break.

I have been seeing Mandala jewellery all over the feeds but hadn’t bought any yet, so I spent some time over there ogling everything and trying to narrow it down. These new Roxe floral leggings from Emery were what brought it all together, I bought the pink jewellery to pick out the pink of the flowers.

My next stop was Maitreya where I bought one of the new Camden jackets, in the slate to pick out another colour from the leggings.

Last but not least, I remembered seeing these pink Baby T’s at Pixel Mode when I bought my black ones. They go perfectly with the Mandala jewellery so I scooped them up and headed home to put my looks together.

On the left is the casual out and about look, with the Camden jacket, leggings, the LBD part of fri.day’s Reverie dress, and the Docs in pink. Just the Amida necklace and the Takara nails in pink from Mandala.

On the right I paired the same leggings with the Black lace ruffle skirt from Coco, the tube part of Madsy’s Lace and Tube top (no longer available) and the pale pink Baby T’s. I heaped on the Mandala jewellery, adding the Takara bangles and the Amida earrings.

I had a great shopping spree, and I found lots of other lovely things I want to buy!
