Today is Bandana Day and the last day of  Hair Fair 2012. Wear your bandana today to show you care!
All bandanas are just 50L and benefit Wigs for Kids. I’m wearing LeLutka’s Faith Scarf bandana.
This tie dyed head scarf is in shades of plum and can be worn with or without the part that drapes
over the shoulder.

It’s your last chance today to get out and buy some hair or a bandana to benefit Wigs for Kids,
so if you haven’t been to Hair Fair 2012 go now before it’s too late!

Look of the day – Meshed up!

Today’s look started with some new things from Ingenue, Whippet & Buck, and

The Soft.Cami is’s first mesh release! This cropped mesh cami has spaghetti straps,
a deep back and a softly flowy feel. I’m wearing it in Lime which is one of 4 Stumblebum
colours.  The full line of 12 colours has also been released. The regular colours are
more pastel shades, while the Stumblebum colours are all brights.

My skirt is also mesh, and is Whippet & Buck’s item for this round of Collabor88.
Available in 8 colours, this highwaisted herringbone tweed wrap skirt has great
button details and deep pockets.

The Jive mesh shoes from Ingenue are also at Collabor88.  These two-tone suede
wedges have high cork heels and subtle stitching details. Love!  The one area
where we definitely need more mesh items is footwear!   Choose from 5
colours. Shown in fawn.

Paper Couture Fall 2010 Collection

Paper Couture released their latest collection yesterday to much excitement. Inspired by Africa, the collection features a selection of fabulous jewellery, clothing, sunglasses and for the first time, shoes! Above are the things I just couldn’t live without, although I will likely be back for more, especially more jewellery.

Gold Nests is a black and gold cocktail dress with a little poofy bolero jacket. This feels very 80s to me, especially with the jacket. The Harvest Beads necklace is a lucious confection of gold and faceted stones.  If I ever did win the lottery, I would want to have real life versions of many of the fabulous Paper Couture jewellery pieces.

The first shoe collection includes some more exciting shoes, but I went with these basic black suede platform pumps to go with my dress. There are also boots and a pair of wedge sandals to choose from.

I love these Luxe glasses,  I chose the tortoise, although they come in wood, black and embellished versions too.

I will admit I’ve actually been back twice since, I picked up these Oxidized silver hoops and the Polished Stones Aqua ring on subsequent trips…  There are probably more shoes with my name on them too…

I Feel Pretty: Lovely new dresses that will change the way you think about Sn@tch.

People sometimes have a preconceived idea of a what a store carries, based on the name, or just on what they have seen around the grid. Ivey Deschanel of Sn@tch is a most prolific creator. Her store has a huge selection of clothing, shoes, accessories and skins. While a lot of her things fall into the category of sexy or even risqué, there is something there to suit even a bit more conservative avatar like mine. In fact, I love a lot of the separates I have from Sn@tch and have fun mixing and matching them with pieces from many other stores. Recently Ivey has been making some beautiful, girly dresses that truly will toss your preconceptions out the window!  As with all Sn@tch items, they come with a selection of colours included, and they are all mod/trans so you can share a pack with a friend (IF you can bear to let any go!).

I’ve been wanting to get this post done for a while, I think Ivey’s had two more releases since I started and the most recent included some gorgeous sundresses that you NEED!

From left I am wearing They Talk in grey, paired with jewellery from Paper Couture, shoes from Maitreya and bag from Miel. This is a really cute dress, sexy in all the right ways. It comes in 5 colour combinations, with grey as the base colour.

In the middle I have on the gorgeous Marie Corset dress in blue with Flirty Dauphine socks also from Sn@tch. I do love this dress, perfectly modern yet evoking the ancien régime. I added shoes from LeLutka, jewellery again from Paper Couture and I am ready to skip down the hall of mirrors at Versailles! (lots of opportunities to admire my outfit) There are 4 colours of the dress and 12 of the socks!

On the right I am wearing a dress called Far Away in lavender, paired with a bag from Bare Rose, shoes from Pixel Mode, and jewellery from Paper Couture. All hair is from Truth, and all skins are Belleza. My fabulous prim nails are MStyle’s Perfect Nail (short). The sweet vintage feel of this dress makes me think of market days in sleepy provençal villages, or strolling out on a summer evening to a café.  Far Away comes in 6 colours.

Get on over to Sn@tch to check out these beautiful dresses as well as other gorgeous new releases. At the rate she’s going, there are probably another dozen new outfits in store!

Accessory Fair 2010 – Donna Flora

Donna Flora is a store that I was not familiar with until recently. Owner and designer Squinternet Larnia makes some of the most beautiful antique / vintage style jewellery you will see in Second Life, as well as bags, shoes, hats, glasses. Her clothing also features vintage styles.

Image 1: Left- Miss_G set (white), Diva Glasses (beige) Right- Gabriela Necklace (turquoise)
Image 2: Left- Dolores Set (purple), Right- Diva Glasses (beige), Miss_G (white), Lucy Bag (black)

The sculpts and textures are beautiful and rich and while I have chosen a vintage feel in styling most of the pieces would work equally well in a more contemporary classic look. Donna Flora’s booth at the Accessory Fair is filled with a selection of her work, to see more visit the main store.

Ce matin sur l’avenue – Look of the day

Today is the final day of the Aoharu sale, and last night I finally went back and bought the gorgeous fur jacket in silver, which I have been eyeing for some time.

My look of the day today had to centre around the jacket, and my Maitreya Gold Shanti sandals, which match perfectly. This Coco shirred mini dress in black (group gift still available in 4 colours) and Paper Couture onyx jewellery completed the look.

5th & Oxford’s Brooke skin in Nightfall had just the look I wanted, and I dug out an old favourite, ETD‘s Ana updo.

I felt stylish, like I had been out to a very glam Gallery opening or a night on the town, so I headed out looking for a great place to take pictures. A search for Paris lead me to a group of Paris Academies sims, this photo is taken on the roof of an art gallery, looking across to the Eiffel tower.

La beauté des jours gris

Today’s look started with the Anexx Vaudevillian shoes that I bought last night. I added the Tirolean cardigan from Anuenue and the Grey pleated skirt from Niniko that I bought for Winter Choice.  Clawtooth‘s Love Cuddles Hair (Stumblebum brigade item from a few weeks ago) and this Paper Couture Boulevard bag completed the look.
