Look of the Day – I went for a walk on a winter’s day
Today’s look is the one I’ve been wearing since Tuesday. I didn’t blog on Wednesday due to the whole SOPA/PIPA thing so I had an extra 2 days to run around taking snaps and looking for sims I used to love that are now gone. (sadface)
I started with this great mesh sweater dress which is a subscriber gift from coldLogic, an upcoming brand from Janie Marlowe, Damien Fate and Zyrra Falcone. You get 3 colours, I’m wearing stone which is kind of brownish. I love the way it fits, and I wish I could get away with wearing something like this in RL, so comfortable!
This look gave me the excuse to pick up these lovely mesh boots from Ju Weissnicht, which I’ve been eyeing. The Charlie boots have a chunky heel and come in packs of 3 colours. I’m wearing one from the Neutrals light pack.
I also bought some new hair, I do love the soft waves of Sophie, one of the newer styles from Truth. My gorgeous necklace is from Mandala, and if you buy them on the Marketplace these long Kabuki necklaces are half price. There are 6 colours. I was strong and only bought two. Ahem.
Proof positive that blogging freebies isn’t cheap! I’m looking forward to seeing all the lovely new mesh goodies when coldLogic opens, though.
I also went to Mayfly like half the grid did no doubt, and scooped a pair of their new mesh eyes. See close up below.

Look of the day: Winter Wanderings
Today’s look is really inspired by this amazing coat from SLink. This fabulous mesh coat is just 88L at January’s Collabor88. I’m in love and so in awe of creator Siddean Munroe’s skills. The textures are fabulous and the coat is rigged mesh so it moves along with you beautifully.
My bowler hat is from Sleepy Eddy at the Season’s Gatcha. Just 30L a play and there are a ton of patterns in there. This one is actually a more orangey red with brown band. I tinted it slightly to be more cherry red. The image below is the true colour. Mod/trans and no copy, obviously.
Maylee Oh of The Secret Store has a sale on selected items. Just 50L for some red, white and green items including this Girly Briefcase in Cherry. I love that the bow, handle and sides are colour change, too!

Look of the day with a mix and match of some new (to me) and older things from my inventory. One great side benefit to blogging regularly is that it inspires me to make new poses. As a result I’m 4 poses into my next pose pack and I don’t even feel like I’ve been working!

Look of the day: Shop til you… crash?
Today’s look also includes lots of the new mesh items I splurged on to treat myself. I do love these Radical Boots from Maitreya. The first boots I ever bought in SL were Maitreya’s “Dune” boots in black. These new boots are like an updated version of those and I think are destined to be a new wardrobe staple as the others were back in 2007/08.
Maitreya’s leather satchel is a nice big slouchy bag that matches perfectly with my new boots. I’d love a RL version of this to hold all my junk!
I picked up this tunic dress from Jane and then spent way too long looking for pants or leggings to wear under it. I settled on these cords from Doppelganger which I’ve had for ages. It’s a relaxed, comfortable look. Perfect for a day of shopping or for teleporting around SL looking for nice spots to take pics… ahem.

Look of the Day: Uptown Girl
Just a quick look of the day featuring some more lovely mesh items. The Ava dress from Ingenue has a subtle tone-on-tone floral pattern on the bodice, and an unpatterned pencil skirt. Mesh details include the pencil skirt prim, soft peplum and short sleeves. The deep V neck is still tasteful while allowing you to display a favourite necklace.
The SLink Glitter Peeptoe shoes are also mesh, and with the included HUDs you can not only tint the feet, change the nail colour and resize, but also change the bow colour. I’m wearing the black, which are more of a charcoal due to the glitter, and they include a black bow as shown or a white / grey bow option.

Happy New Year!
Wow it’s been a long time since I’ve blogged! Basically after 2.72 forced an update, I’ve been unable to take pics without crashing endlessly. Yesterday I decided to check out Firestorm since I’ve been wanting to buy all the lovely new mesh goodies coming out.
So far it’s working like a dream! These pics were all taken with shadows, on ultra and with antialiasing, and aside from a bit of that grid issue they came out pretty well with no crashing and minimal editing needed.
To start the New Year off right I treated myself to some gorgeous new mesh items in champagne tones. I’m wearing mesh from Ingenue, Maitreya, SLink and Mon Tissu.
I’m a little late to the mesh bandwagon, but I’m loving the way it moves with my avatar, although I look forward to resizeable mesh. The sweater is a touch big for me in the large, but the medium was a bit small.
All of these creators are producing some beautiful mesh clothing and accessories with the most luscious textures. Both Ingenue and Maitreya have pencil skirts that make me weep with joy. I was ok with system skirts, but mesh has elevated the pencil skirt to new heights of sexiness! SLink has shoes and boots, as well as their famous bare feet, now in mesh version. At Mon Tissu / Celoe’s temporary location I found shoes, bags and some cute minis.
Now I’m broke so I need to make some poses.

Look of the Day: On the go
It’s been ages since I’ve blogged, I’ve been having a hard time taking pictures since the most recent forced update of the SL viewer.
Today I managed a quick Look of the Day with some new pieces and some old favourites.
Just the kind of business casual look I’d love to wear to work on these early fall days, with warm tweed and rich jewel tone satin.
This hair is called Shine, it’s one of 2 that Elikatira has out at Collabor88 this month. Just 88L a pack, I chose the Essentials pack since I love the selection of 8 colours. I love this ruffled short style, so cute and fun!
My skin is also from Collabor88, it’s one of the offerings from Tres Blah. I chose the light tone in “Dewy”. For 88L you get 3 skins with different brows, as well as 2 tattoo layer eye shadows, 2 cleavage layers, and freckles.
I love these Katherine high waist pants from Ingenue. I’m wearing the charcoal tweed version which was a recent 50L friday buy. I’ve paired it with an old favourite, the Armidi Buone Vacanze blouse in Aqua Afrillia.
For accessories I chose the Margherita jewellery set from Donna Flora which comes with a colour change hud, so it’s super flexible. I’m just wearing the necklace and ring, but it also comes with earrings. My bag is the Girly Briefcase from the Secret Store, and I finished the look with the Mikaela shoes from SLink, both in black.
I’m looking forward to getting back into blogging now that the summer chaos is over, hoping that we get a stable viewer soon so that it’s not so frustrating to blog! ♥

One of three recent skins from Gala Phoenix, Summer is another lovely face as we have come to expect from Curio. A fresh, young-looking face with a mid-brown brow, Summer has the amazing Curio body and all the options Gala is known for providing.
The 6 makeups include some bright shadows and lipsticks, and each makeup comes with 2 lipticks and freckled / no frex skins. The five skin tones also each come in 2 shades, which means most people can find a shade that works with the look they want for their avatar.

4 of my Hair Fair 2011 purchases! I’m running out of time, and so are you! Run to Hair Fair 2011 before it ends today!
Here I’m showing Raspberry Aristocrat Khloe, Illusory’s Kimmi, and 2 from LeLutka, Knotted Hair and Shoop.
Khloe is kind of like Princess Leia hair, 2 side buns with a side part and all kinds of little wisps.
Kimmi is a cute little pigtails hair with a hud to change the colour of the streak and the bow.
Shoop is a full long hair with a centre part and hairband. My only complaint would be that the hairband is not colour change.
Knotted hair is a casual knotted updo, pulled straight back from the face and comes with a hair base to soften the edges. With lots of soft tendrils around the face so it’s not severe.
Go while you still can, and remember that all Hair Fair purchases donate a percentage to Wigs for kids!
