Curio: New Yum 2 is delicious

I loved Curio Yum when it came out last November, and Yum 2 is just as beautiful. The nose on
this skin is a little wider so I narrowed my nose shape just a touch to keep it looking like “me”.

As I mentioned when I blogged Pout a few days ago, if you scoop this up at the Skin Fair you get a
Megapack with all 5 skin tones (shown above) for the price of a regular one tone fatpack.

The 6 makeups come with two lipsticks each, and as always each tone comes in both light and
dark versions. I’m showing them all on Petal since that’s my preffered tone. Then you get all of
the above with freckles too!  That’s 48 skins per tone, times 5 tones is an amazing 240 skins for
3000L!  12.5L per skin is really an astonishing deal!  I love Gala’s makeups, and I especially love
having 2  lipstick choices per makeup as I often like a stronger lipstick colour.

And there’s that beautiful Curio body again, shown without any editing. It’s a very womanly
figure that lends itself well to a curvy shape I think.

What I love about Yum 2 is that it’s a new face, and with some minor tweaking it lends itself well
to a face like mine in the Petal tone, but it also looks amazing on my friend Ashe, who keeps her
avatar as close as she can to her RL beautiful face.

A lot of skins have very caucasian features, that don’t look as realistic in the darker skin
tones. I love the flexibility of Yum in that it could be a lot of different ethnicities.

Dutch Touch – Megan and New skin Sterre

Sterre is the latest skin from Dutch Touch, currently available in 4 tones for members of the VIP
group to purchase for just 550L.  I had recently bought my first DT skin, Megan and the two skins looked similar to me, so I went for a darker tone that I think really suits the stronger features of Sterre. The nose, cheekbones and eyebrows are all a bit different to Megan, although
it was less noticeable to me in the cream tone so for Sterre I went for fudge.

Like all the recent DT releases, Megan and Sterre are sold with a basic bare face, so that you can
add your own makeups on the tattoo layer. Dutch Touch creator Iki Ikarus has created a line of
eyeshadows (13 packs to choose from) and lipsticks so that you can mix and match your looks
using the multiple layer option of viewer 2.  Included options are different cleavages (shown above) for anyone’s tastes and mole / freckle skins.

As you can see from these unedited full body pics, these skins have a nice body too, with a cute
bum and nicely done cleavage and collar bones.

Skin Fair 2011 – Curio: Pout

One of the newest skins from Gala Phoenix is Pout, currently available at the Vanity Universe 2011 Skin Fair. I love Pout, the face feels very “me” and I was amazed at the value you get with
the fatpack at the Skin Fair.

Curio fatpacks are always a great deal, and once I decided on Pout, I automatically bought it,
not really registering that this time it’s a MEGA pack. What does this mean? All the tones for the price of a fatpack of one tone!  Incredible value!

I’m showing you Petal, which is the tone I always buy at Curio. As always, you get a light and a dark version of your chosen tone. Below right you can see the light tone on the left, and the dark on the right. Within each makeup you also get 2 versions with different lips.  Then you get all of the above, with freckles too!

All 12 makeup / lips combinations are shown above, and the top row shows the freckle skins in
both light and dark tones.

As you can see from the *huge* basically unedited full body shot, this skin has the nice Curio body we love. I especially like the back,  tummy and nice round bottom on Curio skins, although I rarely see them naked.

My personal choice when skin shopping is to look for the face and makeups first. As long as the body is good quality I’m not too fussed about the details. But even for the picky, Curio bodies are always nice.

Brooke – New Skin from 5th & Oxford (Part 2)

As you can see, Natural and Subtle live up to their names, with soft lips and eyes. Great “daytime” makeups, with a slightly smokier eye on Subtle.  These look a lot like the kind of makeup I favour in RL, and I like that. Even in my Second Life, I don’t need to look like I’m off for a night on the town 24/7.

I used the Glitterati “Silk” pose for Natural, along with Tiny Bird hair called I Hate Camera.

For Subtle I chose 5th & Oxford’s Little Miss Slip dress in Olive, with the Lola hair from Tiny Bird.
The pearls are Armidi’s Valencia pearls (sized down and tinted).

Comfortably Elegant

Today’s look just came together with many free gifts out right now!
Starting at the top, Junwave has this Yuko hair in Dark Brown free right now at the back of the store. The black turtleneck sweater is the new group gift from Coco, released yesterday. LeLutka dropped this Paine Mini skirt in chocolate on her group, and Onyx LeShelle of Maitreya dropped these SoHo boots in PatentMix Black and Pumpkin (not shown) on her subscribo members the other day.  Even my skin is a group gift, the latest release from Exodi is Sienna, seen here in Cachet. Ryker Beck dropped this special makeup on her VIP group in all skin tones. To complete my look I dug out this necklace from Mezzo, I checked and it is still available in the lucky board. The only thing that wasn’t a gift are the Soxie Nylon Tights which were a steal of a deal at only 49L! They come in a million colours too!

I like this comfortably elegant look, thanks  to all the designers for the lovely gifts!
