Look of the day – Meshed up!

Today’s look started with some new things from Ingenue, Whippet & Buck, and Fri.day.

The Soft.Cami is Fri.day’s first mesh release! This cropped mesh cami has spaghetti straps,
a deep back and a softly flowy feel. I’m wearing it in Lime which is one of 4 Stumblebum
colours.  The full line of 12 colours has also been released. The regular colours are
more pastel shades, while the Stumblebum colours are all brights.

My skirt is also mesh, and is Whippet & Buck’s item for this round of Collabor88.
Available in 8 colours, this highwaisted herringbone tweed wrap skirt has great
button details and deep pockets.

The Jive mesh shoes from Ingenue are also at Collabor88.  These two-tone suede
wedges have high cork heels and subtle stitching details. Love!  The one area
where we definitely need more mesh items is footwear!   Choose from 5

Look of the day: Summer of Love

Like so many others, I headed over to Maitreya yesterday to check out their first summer release
of the year. I was unable to resist their new mesh jeans. These come in 8 colours and the fatpack
is a great value but I was good and just chose one colour for now.

I also grabbed their new Cupio mesh halter top in Cloudy. This top is a mesh tube top with a
relaxed fit and a beaded halter tie.  I got white but I may be back when I can pick another colour.
This top is very cute and I like the peek of tummy without it being a really short cropped top.

Of course I couldn’t leave without Maitreya’s first mesh hair! Siobhan is a long hair style with a
lovely big floppy hat. My only criticism would be that for me, I’d like some lighter colour hat
options for summer. They are all pretty dark except for one yellowish straw.  I think these will
also look amazing come fall though so there’s a lot of wearability. Of course in SL your head
doesn’t get hot so you can wear a black hat with impunity!

I finished this summer day look with the N-Core Etoile wedge sandals in black and some great
accessories that I had in my inventory. Mandala’s Takara bangles, the Secret Store’s Funky Tango
Bag and Coco gift belt which is no longer available. I’ve had it since January 2009 and worn it a lot!

I feel like Ana needs to jump in her VW Van and head down to Venice Beach or the Haight-Ashbury.

Chic 2 – Take 2: coldLogic, Wasabi Pills, Glam Affair

Also at Chic 2 I got this super cute new mesh hair from Wasabi Pills. Anais 2 is a long mesh
style with braids. Rigged mesh to move with your body is probably the best thing to happen
to long hair in SL.  I picked up the reds pack and I’m wearing Gingerbread.

I also scooped up this cute strapless summer dress from coldLogic.  Moody is a strapless mesh
dress with a sweetheart neckline, wide waistband, and softly draping skirt. I chose it in
sageblossom which is a predominantly pink and green floral pattern.

My skin is once again Glam Affair Mia – a Chic 2 exclusive. Mia combines elements of 2 recent
popular Glam Affair skins, Leah and Giselle. Available in Natural tone and with  6 eyebrow options.
With a nice smokey eye makeup and soft neutral lips and blush, this is a great staple skin.
Add different lip or eye colours to vary your look.

Look of the day – Blue Skies

Nothing but blue skies today! It’s a gorgeous, sunny, day here. Of course, it’s always summer somewhere in Second Life, so you can wear this new flirty dress from e! Eclectic Apparel any day of the year. The Rachel mesh mini dress comes in a dazzling array of 18 colours, and each includes 2 options. The band below the bust comes in glitter (shown) or a subtle polka dot.  I added the League Daydream necklaces from Collabor88 since they fit my “blue skies” theme.

Gos Desire Mesh Ankle Boots

The latest release from Gos Custom Footwear is these amazing mesh ankle boots, aptly named Desire.  They come in 5 colours which you can purchase individually or as a fatpack. The lovely thing about the fatpack is, as always with Gos, that it gives so many options to customize your boots. The metals included are silver or brass, and the toecap and heel can be metal as well as the strap hardware and buckle.

Creator Gospel Voom always does such an amazing job on the textures. See the realistic leather texture, the stitching details, and the highlighting on both the leather and the metal parts. I love that these boots are realistic without being a photograph slapped onto the mesh. There’s a lot of work to get those textures just so.

Rigged mesh is not modifiable, so there are 5 standard sizes included, as well as a non-rigged pair which are scripted for both the texture changes and to resize. The rigged pair texture change via a hud.

Look of the day: Glimmer girl

E! Eclectic Apparel and Accessories just released the Glimmer mesh minidress. This sparkly, glittery version of their popular Vertigo minidress is all glammed up and ready to party!

Featuring the same softly draped, deep sexy back and belted miniskirt, Glimmer comes in 8  glittering jewel tones plus gold and silver.

I paired it with N-Core‘s Coquette pumps Glitter edition for extra sparkle.

Undefined Lilies released these lovely brambleramble earrings today and I couldn’t resist. These dark purple ones are just like glowing juicy blackberries! They come in 8 colours, and are very prim heavy so my dreams of a matching necklace may never be fulfilled!

The last brand-new thing I’m wearing today are these glorious Utopia eyes from Ikon. Ikon Innovia has rebranded his Fashism store. Simply called Ikon, it has all the Fashism eyes plus this new line of Utopia eyes. Love.  So far I’ve picked up 3 colours including this Deep Cerulean. See the closeup for more detail of the eyes and those lovely earrings.
